This picture was taken in a park last summer in Weston Super Mare. There were many koi and smaller fish and the water lilies were out in flower.

This picture was also taken last summer when my miniature lilies were in flower in my mini pond! A bit of a contrast size wise. However I can look at mine whenever I want to!
I wonder what my son Sam is posting today?
I think your pond is much more welcoming to a passing Koi fish to land in!!
ReplyDeleteWe have a stream in our garden, but it doesn't look as nice as your pond.... and there are no fish in it.
Love your photo's Maggie May
Love Granny
Lovely! Reminds me of the pond Mum and Dad used to have all those years ago. We had a lot of fish including a large yellow 'Coy' Carp we called The Yellow Submarine. Hm! I feel a post comming on!
ReplyDeleteI just love water lilies, thank you for these pictures, they've already brightened my day xx
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI'd love having one of those little ones.
'oh Maggie I couldn't have tried anymore' I loved that song. :)
My post is here: Carletta’s Captures.
I love your mini pond. What a great idea.
ReplyDeleteRabbit, rabbit.
I think your mini pond is the best. It's very nicely decorated and looks like a real big pond, only cozier. It looks like it came out of a fairytale. XOX
ReplyDeleteThose minis are so cuuute! Great shots!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, I love water lilies. Your small pond is just as lovely :)
ReplyDeleteI was thinking I should do this Maggie. Is it hard? Does it take a lot of upkeep?
ReplyDeleteMaggie,
ReplyDeleteThere's something about water photos that makes me so relaxed - and I really need it at the moment!!
Lovely post, as always. While I've been away, I've been checking....
Peter
Well yours may be on a smaller scale but it's just as beatiful. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd yours is a more pleasing design, in that caring circle. (Circles remind me of hands held out in a bowl shape!) x
ReplyDeleteQuality, not quantify, is what matters, right? And your pond, flowers, etc., all have the right quality so it matters not at all that it is smaller, does it? Pretty, very, very pretty!
ReplyDeleteVery very pretty. So relaxing and gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteLovely ponds, however, I far prefer yours. Especially with the glorious pink lily flower.
ReplyDeleteSomething to look forward to, and maybe sit beside when the kitchen gets its Summer attack.
Huggles from me, Zebbycat is snoring away........hope your Thuresday is as beautiful as ours has been, Mickle xxx
I didn't know ponds could be subject to the same Bonsai practises as trees! Wonderful.
ReplyDeleteWater lilies are awesome - I always marvel at their architecture!

Flower and Garden Festival Surprise
Another great miniature garden! Being able to sit and admire at any time is a definite advantage.
ReplyDeleteSmall is beautiful, as they say.
ReplyDeleteThese photos remind me of some of the drawings by M.C.Escher. He drew some realistic pond pictures that showed various levels - the lilies and floating leafs above the water and the koi below -although he also added the reflections on the the surface of the pond of surrounding landscape and sky.
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely photos. Thank you for sharing.
Gorgeous photos, I like the smaller one best. Now I must wander over and meet your son!
ReplyDeleteWhat divine pictures Maggie, I do love your little pond particularly.
ReplyDeleteM xx
Many thanks EVERYONE for the compliments about my mini pond!
ReplyDeleteObviously the lilies are dormant at the moment and I must clean the pond out before everything springs back to like!
Hi Maggie: Haven't been by here lately...sorry, and I agree with all, the pond is beautiful. There is something very tranquil about a lily pond! Have a great weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the little pond. It must be so relaxing. A real day-brightener.
