The Lion King

There are always little nooks and crannies in any city and Bristol is no exception. Turn any corner and there is always something to snap. No end of watery things to choose from.
Well, we are an island surrounded by the stuff. I am quite pleased about that.
However look into the pool below and you will see something that makes my blood boil. Can you spot what it is?

  2. It's a nice tribute to King George and a wonderful water feature. Too bad some people have no respect. I bet there was a trash can just out of sight.

My post is here: Carletta’s Captures.

  20. Too bad about the litter in the water. People are so thoughtless.

  21. Great pics Maggie...I have to agree with you. Why people can't just find a trash can is beyond me.

  22. The lion is looking pretty angry about it as well .. and I really don't blame him.

There is no excuse for throwing rubbish in the water like that ... there are always rubbish bins around in the city .. and if there is not one handy, then take your rubbish with you until you find one !

People can be pigs at times..

    Those are great shots !

  23. Great photos. I'm guessing it's litter. If it's a ten pound note I'd remove it myself!

  24. It's too bad that some people consider water features as trash receptacles. When will people ever learn to be respectful?

    ReplyDelete
  25. What a beautiful fountain! Lack of respect from people, seems to be the same all over the world, and that is a pity!

  26. I think the litter must make your blood boil.

That's a lovely fountain deserving of respect.

  27. I hate litter louts - sickening peasants. I once saw a guy dump the contents of his ash tray from his car onto the ground in a petrol station. As I was with my then very tall boyfriend, I gathered up the cigarret ends and dumped them back in his car window and onto his suit trousers telling him 'I believe these are yours', before I stepped back to have a look at his reaction. He was shocked, went to get out of the car, possibly to hit me, when my then big burly boyfriend stepped in front of me! Fantastic, the guy drove off in a hurry, wheels spinning and the smell of burning rubber!
