I thought I had just taken a picture of a pond with pretty lilies, but can you see a little sparrow about to have a bath?
A little bonus that I discovered afterwards. You may have to strain your eyes!
Watery Wednesday is hosted by 2sweetnsaxy. For more photos of watery things, why not look her up?
Very cute and I almost missed him.
ReplyDeleteEveryone must enlarge this to see the little feathered guy already with his feathers rumpled!
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love the pure serendipity of some shots when you download them! :)
I clicked on the photo to zoom in and then I found him all wet with ruffled feathers.
ReplyDeleteLovely photo and the lilies are great - I keep expecting to see a pike jump out of the water!! ~ Eddie
LOL Maggie I would have missed the little bird if you hadn't said something. Great shot. =)
ReplyDeleteI would have missed the bird too, but now I DID see him/her! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat shot!
Aren't lily ponds wonderful. That birdy has the perfect perch.
ReplyDeleteLOVELY lily pads and wonderful capture of the little bird too. I've shared MY Watery Wednesday at Small Reflections this week ;--)
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
I clicked on your photo and enlarged it. The little sparrow is easy to see and has already had his bath, he is all wet :D
ReplyDeleteNice shot!
My blog is here.
ReplyDeleteI saw the sparrow all wet! I home he is not cold. Beautiful lilies too!
Your next shot might of seen him being eaten by a huge toad LOL.....

Once I enlarged this, it was no strain at all! Lovely!

Beautiful! I saw the bird right off. Great shot!
ReplyDeleteWhen you're that light, you can set a spell!
ReplyDeleteThe flowers in water are beautiful. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful picture, really peaceful. But try as I might, I can't see the sparrow. I'll try again!
ReplyDeleteSaw the bird! :)
ReplyDeleteThat is a great photo capture. The unexpected ones are always great!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lovely photo.. the colours are perfect and the scene so beautiful. I love when that happens. You examine a shot and find a bug, a bird or that little something that makes it complete. Perfect!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI see the spadgie, but I also like the reflection on the water's surface, Maggie.
ReplyDeleteYou always have photos with surprises in them, Maggie. I think you plan them that way. You take photos of potentially surprising places and then look for the surprise and there it is. Or maybe you have Lady Luck on your side and she likes to surprise you by doing good deeds for you. She thinks, "Now, what can I do for Maggie today?" Those are her little kindnesses to you.
ReplyDeleteIt is about time for the lily pads to bloom here if they haven't already. Great shot. Looks almost tropical.
ReplyDeleteA little serendipity! Very cool!
ReplyDeleteThe lil guy looks soaked to the bone, hehehe!
Have a wonderful day!
I love it when there is a surprise in a photo.

ReplyDeleteHow neat is that?! I am glad you pointed him out to us ~ I need to learn to slow down and look at the whole picture closely. Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteand I love the mass of lily-pads too! a very serene photo! X
What a bonus Maggie. He looked as though he gave himself a good soaking too. Lovely picture. A x
ReplyDeleteYep, got him. Good picture.
ReplyDeleteI do see him! This has happened to me so often, too, Maggie--I will try and try to get a good photo of a bee, for example, and then download pictures of flowers, only to discover a bee on one of the petals!
ReplyDeletelooks like he's already been in the water! Beautiful photo - almost Monet-like.
ReplyDeleteGlad you said! I would have missed him, otherwise! Good photo, even without the sparrow, anyway.
ReplyDeleteAnd he thouht that no one had seen him in his birthday suit! He does look a bit sheepish.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely cheerful image!
ReplyDeleteLovely picture and the sparrow!
