There is always plenty of rain in England and it is a common sight to see the plants in my garden covered in rain drops.
It is quite refreshing though and saves me having to water the pot plants too often.
The Agapanthus has now died back and the ornamental grass is looking rather tatty before it too, disappears.
I can't believe that it is Autumn already. Seems like we haven't had much of a summer at all.
Watery Wednesday is hosted by 2sweetnsaxy. For lovely photos, pop over for a visit.
How delicately beautiful. Thanks for this Maggie.

I haven't seen autumn.
ReplyDeleteThey look refresh!
Great photo's. Know what you mean about an absent summer. Maybe next year eh?!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos. I tried taking some flowers the other day but they came out as a complete blur!
ReplyDeleteeverything looks fresh after the rain. these photos are refreshing to the eyes and spirit.
ReplyDeleteI love the smell after a shower, you can practically smell your photos - lovely!
ReplyDeleteThe summer rushed by, Maggie. I hardly feel that we had one. Time goes by quicker when you get older. I do like the rain though and how it refreshes everything. Rain makes me mellow and clouds in the sky make me happy. I'm just funny that way.
ReplyDeletelove the purple dainty flower with fresh droplets.
ReplyDeleteShower - what shower? Our garden is as dry as I have known it. Water pots every day and new trees. Our roadside verge seemingly is just grass plonked on top of concrete so have to water that as well!
ReplyDeleteI thought that the weather had been better down your way. Maybe not? Super photos, Maggie, as always.
ReplyDeleteI love raindrops on plants. Beautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts exactly, from across the ocean and a continent.
ReplyDeleteI love the first one!
ReplyDeleteRaindrops are a delightful addition to any blooms.
Carletta’s Captures.
Very beautiful display of delicate blue flowers
ReplyDeleteGreat blog and glad I found you.
ReplyDeleteJust Lush Maggie you have a talent there
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos, maggie!
ReplyDeleteNo, I was just thinking earlier that I'll have to start tidying up the garden for winter and I don't remember spending any time in it in summer!
ReplyDeleteAfter a hugely rainy start to the summer, the last few weeks have been sunny and dry, dry, dry. Until this morning; the heavens opened and everything got watered. My best friend is taking credit for this - she sent her grandson outside to turn on the hose and water the pot plants and she said this loosed the torrent. Good thing; I'm short of grandsons this fall.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos, so serene and English - I'm always blown away by how lush and perfect English gardens can be; I guess because there's no feast and famine about your rainfall.
Down here in the south east we have had to water the garden every day for the past six weeks [and we've just had a meter installed...blast it] Lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteMy area also is often covered in rain. Strangely we are in an Indian summer this year.
ReplyDeleteLove the water droplets on leaves. Refreshing after summer.
Love those little raindrops on the plants!
ReplyDeleteEbie's Watery Wednesday.
I enjoyed the summer...but like you...I felt we got cheated out of summer. Have tried Agapanthus here in Illinois without much success. What's your secret?
ReplyDeletePlants always look so good with a coat of raindrops! Glad to see your garden survived all the construction on your kitchen earlier this year. We had three weeks of dry weather, and I got very tired of dragging the hose around to water everything. Thank goodness, we finally got some rain this week--the plants much prefer it.
ReplyDeleteThere isn't much that makes a prettier picture than raindrops on flowers. Thanks for sharing yours. :)
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful!!! Your photo of the water droplets is fantastic!! I love it!!! ~Janine XO
ReplyDeleteOh yes, what happened to the BarBQ summer we were promised?
ReplyDeleteLove the photos. :)
So Beautiful and lovely !! Great shots !!Unseen Rajasthan
ReplyDeleteHave spent a while catching up with you, and do love your photos, Maggie. I really liked the ones of the canal boats particularly - those decorations are wonderful. PS Hope your dentist appointment was OK. M xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers. But I have feeling YOU could take a picture of the ugliest flower and make it beautiful. And wow, you are getting more and more commenters!
ReplyDeleteYou must be living in an oasis! Our garden is as dry as a bone.
ReplyDeleteLoved the photos, Maggie, and the way you capyured the water bead on the leaf was very impressive ~ Eddie
ReplyDeleteI agree - the summer was rather pale. But your flowers and ornamental grass look all the fresher for it :)
