I have been sorting out the photos that I took during the half term, when Sam, Amber, Millie and I travelled a good way to the sea only to find when we got there it emptied down with rain.
Although Sam was the one who first got me started on putting one photo at a time on my post, it was Crazy Cath who wrote me a very good email explaining how to put multiple photos on one post. So this is my first attempt at multi photos. Thanks Sam and Crazy Cath.
What can you do with two young children cooped up in a car while a storm blows outside? Only one other car in the car park!
Well you could give Millie driving lessons! And look out of the window and gaze at the storm or start eating your sandwiches one hour early!
Whatever is Amber doing? Maybe she has dropped a sandwich! Getting a bit bored with the waiting now!
At last! A gap in the storm and ten minutes on the deserted beach before the next downpour that involved hail, thunder and lightening!
Ah well, it made a change from the city!

A very patient grandma and two very patient granddaughters. That's not a very good way to spend a day at the beach. Hopefully there are better days to come. Maybe even in bathing suits?
That wasn't as fun as it could have been..
ahh, whatever the weather, there'll always be something memorable in it, for all of you !
I love those little photos of bums in the air at the beach. And anoraks too!
How true this rings! I remember trying to keep 4 small children amused while confined to the car by weather.
Thank you for the cute limerick to comment on my limericks! It was a nice change from the usual.
Sounds like a typical day at the seaside!!
First thing is that I want to thank you for visiting my blog.
Next is too bad for the washed out trip, but the pictures are great.
That last photo is priceless.. perfect.
Maggie, I love empty beaches, especially in the wind and rain, so exhilerating. Not much fun for the children though!
I've just read in your profile you like Abigails party. I watched it when I was young and couldn't take my eyes off the choker necklace one of the girls was wearing as it kept flipping up and down as she spoke. Have you ever noticed it? I was in hysterics.

Playing eye-spy is usually a favourite! But driving lessons could be very useful also!!

Maggie May, Will you put a link on your next post for MOB & Aims, blog awards, I have. Debs x
Thanks Maggie and don't feel bad, I've only just learn't the linky thing.
To the left of allignment and to the right of colour there is a green triangle type shape.
Do your blog and then open another browser for your blog, open the blog you want to vote for, right click and copy to the greeen triangle. Honest, it's easy. Get everyone else to do the same Debs x.
Cheers Maggie!
Well thank you for the mention - you are very kind! But I think you are managing quite nicely now... ;0)
Lovely post. It looks like they at least got a walk out, and like you say, better than the city!
Adorable photos! Kids love storms anyway - better than staying home.
The great thing about rain is that it makes everything green. Sadly, it also makes everything....... uh..... wet. :)
Weren't you lucky that the weather cleared up enough so that the girls could play a bit?
I love walking on the beach just after a storm. The power is invigorating! For me at least. Maybe not so much for the kiddies, though.
Thanks for all the comments!
I expect you've noticed, we don't DO faces on this blog!
Debs..... (Lehners in France).... Abigail's Party I have watched many times but I can't recall the necklace! Now I will have to watch it again! Have you seen "Nuts in May"? Similar type film though not quite so funny as Abigail's party!
MM thanks so much for the vote - I am really chuffed.
Hope you had a great break.
You can't go to the beach in the UK without it raining - I'm afraid it's the law!

Talk about commitment to the seaside cause!
I love wet windy deserted beaches...... :)

The photos are wonderful! It looks like a very special day, despite the weather. What I wouldn't give to be able to spend time with my grandmothers again. How lucky you all are!!!
Every one....... Many thanks for the comments on my first multiple photo post! I hadn't thought so many people like lonely wet beaches! I guess I do too!
