Living In A Topsy Turvy World

Our country seems to be in complete turmoil lately, not only because of the awful political situation, which has left us reeling, but because the weather is also letting us down. June turned out to be one of the wettest on record and its gone very cold.

I guess I'm learning to take a day at a time and accept the pleasures that today brings rather than worrying about the future..... after all, there's nothing that I can do about it anyway.
Seems that we're now living in a very topsy turvy world and if I was reading about all the recent happenings that have gone on in Westminster in a book, I'd have thought that it was a very far fetched story.

Meanwhile, we must press on and hope it all works for good. Takes a bit of imagination though.......

Here's hoping your weather changes. The political climate may be a more difficult thing to change.

Not just Britain either Maggie, there is a domino effect happening. A confluence of some kind.

Stay where your hands are as I try to do :)

I quit watching or reading about the elections, news and what not lately. Seems the US has gone bugging nuts. And I'm too old for Canada to want me.:-)Eek! Hang on, we'll make it through somehow. Hugs.

Things are pretty bad here too Maggie, as you know. It's a sad and disturbing world we live in today xx

It doers seem and feel rather weird lately. The weather is awful but will recover and I think the political and financial situation will as well. I think in a few years time Brexit will prove to be one of the best things this country has ever achieved . . . I am optimistic . . :)

It'll be a bumpy ride, but I am sure things will work out eventually. (Rome wasn't built in a day). This gloomy weather is producing a lot of gloomy negativity, but hopefully we can ride it out and hope to see calmer waters soon.

I agree, the world has gone crazy. I don't know what will happen if our country elects Trump in November--I may be looking for a new home, but it probably won't be the UK either:) That's partly why I spend so much time digging in my garden, forgetting the problems of the world. We had a very warm June--wish I could send some of this heat and sunshine your way!

I have a pottery sun almost exactly like the one in your photo on a post outside the window where I work. It cheers my heart to see it and I hope yours does the same for you. Finding "little joys" in the midst of the grieving process helps. Yes, things are in a turmoil and I expect there will be unintended consequences of the Brexit vote that may cause problems down the road, but who knows for sure?? Things are rather in a turmoil here in the U.S. too... what is going on here during this election period is nothing short of bizarre -- the idea that Donald Trump might actually become our President leaves my head whirling.

I almost can't bear to listen to the news anymore - we've gone mad here politically.
