Wheres The Holiday Gone?

Photo Copyright: Maggie May

Well there I was in holiday mode. I don't know what I was thinking of..... telling the granddaughters we had at least another week off school and I said it was because of the Royal Wedding on Friday and the May Bank Holiday the following Monday. How very wrong I was.
They go back tomorrow!
So that means that I work one afternoon/evening this week. The choir that I joined starts back this week too and I have one or two other things planned as well. I will watch some of the wedding but not stay glued to it all day.
So it will be business as usual.

We all had a lovely Easter break and chocolate featured quite heavily in it.
My daughter and the grandsons went back to the east coast yesterday and my son and granddaughters have only just left. (Well I do see them a lot during term time so they will be back tomorrow.)
Harry seems to be doing well and has his MRI scan next week.
That just about sums up all my news for now.

It's too bad your holidays went by so quickly. I hope you had the time to enjoy them. The kids here are two weeks off school now starting this past weekend. You're lucky you get to see your granddaughters so much. I'm glad to hear that Harry is feeling well. Can't wait to hear about his MRI scan.

I so wish I were there for the Wedding, but will be sitting on my sofa, formal gown and tiara, sipping my tea at 4 am our time. You think I'm joking? If I can get anyone else up to snap photos, I'll post it! I so loved being there for Charles and Diana's nuptials it just is not fair that we are here instead of there!!!

Sorry to hear the holidays went quicker for you then expected. However I think you are dealing with it very well. I'm sure the Royal Wedding will be shown a lot throughout the weekend.

Keeping everything crossed for Harry next week. Also for you of course. Hope all goes well with the choir too. x

Time off always flies by fast. I think I will watch a little of the wedding. It's exciting but not as exciting as Princess Di! I'm praying and hoping Harry is better soon.

Yes, times go bye so fast. Take notes on that wedding of yours; we're all curious.

I recall I watched a good portion of Charles and Diana's wedding on tv and I suppose this time around I'll probably do pretty much the same, even though I'm not really particularly interested in it. Just not that big on the Royal Family and their doings I guess you could say.
Easter was a nice day with church being a wonderful focal point and last night, I watched a program on Forgiveness on the PBS channel that was excellent. I'd highly recommend it to anyone if it is on that network in your viewing area. And, as to the issues I blogged about with the party making some accusations to me and Mandy -gonna take the forgiveness attitude from the program and apply it there. Life is simply way too short to allow people to control -or try to anyway -my peace of mind.
The kids had a great holiday, got baskets loaded with a little bit of everything -not all candies and I like that!

It's a bit strange having these two long bank holiday weekends one after the other isn't it? I rely on using the bus a lot while I'm in the UK so the holiday bus service has made it a bit difficult and meant having to walk an awful lot!
So pleased to hear that Harry is doing well. Fingers crossed for the MRI result being a good one.

The holidays for me have dragged. Our schools round here broke up on the 15th and they still have all this week off.

Chocolate has featured high here too!!

Hi nice to meet you, Jody here, came through ex-pat Mum. What a lovely weekend, the best ones go so quickly. I'll be visiting London the day after nuptials, will be interesting to see what bods on the street think - or don't think - of it...

Pleased to read that Harry is feeling better.

What with Easter being so late this year, the unseasonably good weather and all these bank holidays it is difficult to know where we are. I hope that you had a good Easter, if it didn't last long enough.

Holidays do go by too quickly, don't they? Glad to hear that Harry is feeling better and that your whole family was able to come for Easter. Ah, it's funny that the older we get, the earlier we get up:) My mother had to tell my father, though, not to call people before 6 AM:)

The royal wedding is all over the news here, too, though I must admit I haven't paid much attention to it--my daughter is getting married next weekend, and somehow that is much more interesting to me:)

Great photo, as always. You take the nicest pictures!

I'll have the TV on, (which is unusual in itself) but I can't sit still long enough to finish a half-hour sitcom, let alone an all-day wedding. I will watch bits of it, though...because even at my advanced age, I still harbor the hope of being a "Princess" some day.

Prayers for your family's health continue...

Much love

Like your tree photo. Holidays don't seem to last, do they?
I'm glad your family was able to join you for Easter.

Good luck to hubby with his MRI. Keeping my finger crossed that the news will be good.

I plan to be up all night to watch the pagentry and excitement of the royal wedding. I was thrilled with Charles and Diana's wedding but for me, Grace Kelly's wedding to Prince Ranier was my all time favorite. I loved her from my childhood - she was my favorite actress and I thought she made a perfect princess. She was such a beauty.
