Forget-me-nots Lift The Heart

Today has been very sunny and warm. There are Forget-me-nots springing up in my garden and it is really a reminder that Spring is well underway. These little flowers are a firm favourite of mine and do tend to lift the heart.

Today, I had to accompany Harry to a hospital appointment while leaving the electrician to get on with this weeks work. I hate it when things overlap like that but I needn't have worried because the young lad (well everyone looks young compared to me!) got on with the job while we were away.
Some of the problems are now sorted out and after tomorrow, there will be a break until he starts again next week. It should all be finished by then.
He is a very thorough worker who doesn't rush things but most of the jobs are a fixed price so it really doesn't matter.

I was hoping Harry would be able to have a shunt fitted in his head/neck to help drain off the excess fluid that is causing him various problems, when the chemo was over. However, we were told that this wouldn't be possible and he might stay the same or get steadily worse. No one can predict. After a 40 minute wait to see the consultant we were in and out in ten minutes and I felt really saddened by this news. However, Harry takes it all in his stride and doesn't worry about anything, which might well be because of his condition.

I hate it when things overlap, too, so I'm glad your young electrician is working out for you. I hope this spring bring you and Harry many happy, peaceful days.

That's sad news about Harry. I really hope that he is not in a lot of discomfort. It seems he suffers quietly.

I am glad you have someone competent taking care of your electric problems. It would be awful if you had to worry about that also.

Yes, those forget me nots are lovely. Flowers like that are a treasure to have in your garden.

I hope you are keeping your chin up, Maggie, but what else is there to do?

I had a garden full of forget-me-nots at one time but had to take a lot up because they were overrunning the garden. They are beautiful little flowers I agree. I'm keeping Harry in my prayers. x

I still have you and Harry in our prayer list, and I have to say I admire Harry's ability to take it all in stride...perhaps he hears God whispering to him that He has it all in His hands...hugs to you because I think you handle things so well for the same reason

It's difficult not to hear more encouraging news but try to take a page from Harry's book, if you can. Forget-me-nots are one of my favourites also. I usually have them pop up in my garden each spring.. though there's no sign of them just yet.

I do hope Harry will do well. Thinking of you. I’m back and struggling to remember how blogging works! I was Jo, Reasons to be Cheerful 123. It’s great to see you and so many others still blogging. Beautiful flowers xx

You've been through so much Maggie in the last few years. I suppose the best thing is to take a page from Harry's book and try not to visit trouble. I love forgetmenots and I was astonished in my first spring here that my lawns were a carpet of fmns due to someone sneaking a package of them past customs over 80 years ago and planting them here, they are not native.
"Stay where your hands are" which was the best advice ever given to me.
