Time Travelling, Anyone?

For the last week it has rained almost nonstop so I haven't had much time to view the garden.
However, today was drier and more springlike for a short while and I noticed the snowdrops were flowering though not as prolifically as the ones in this picture. Maybe they don't like the wet conditions any more than I do.
Gives me fresh hope to see them pushing their way through into this unpredictable climate though, poor things. I suppose they have a fighting chance.

I have started going to my local cinema, where they have a special Silver Screen offer each week, intended I suppose for people with silver hair! It is held on Tuesdays at 10.30 in the morning and I can watch a set film for £3.50. They are all chosen from among the best of last years films. Some times I  don't like their choice so I don't go.
It is a half hours walk to get there and the same coming home so it turns out a healthy and interesting morning when I do go. Lets hope I don't trek in the rain this week as I'm going to see "The Way, Way Back". I think its about time travel. Has anyone seen it?

Sounds a great way to spend the morning. I haven't seen it, I don't sit still long enough to watch a film!
Hope it stays dry for your walk ( thanks for your encouragement on mine )

Sounds like a great way to spend a morning.

The Way Way Back isn't about time travel at all - but about a 14-yr-old - very shy - who makes friends over a summer. Won't say too much but it's funny and touching all at the same time.

Hope you enjoyed the film Maggie. How nice that you can take a walk there too. Double whammy - entertainment and a healthy walk to boot!

I haven't seen it. We haven't been to movies much lately. I like the deal you have going for you. I'm glad you are taking advantage of seeing some great movies at such a good price.

I haven't seen it no, but my favourite film recently was The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. It was brilliant, genius. Sadly it's not on in the cinemas any more so I'll have to wait for the DVD/download to see it again. Hope you enjoyed your outing (and didn't get wet)!

So nice to see your snowdrops blooming, even if they are rain-soaked! Everything here is covered in a couple of feet of snow, so it will be a long time before I see any blooms. I rarely get to see movies in the theater anymore, and always have to wait till they come out on DVD. There are children's matinees here on the weekend, but a "Silver" matinee sounds like a great idea!

Snow and ice has been our constant companion...and here in South Carolina we wear flipflops and shorts for 10 months of the year...just not this year! Here is hoping you have dryer weather and movies you enjoy!

Isn't it great to see the Spring flowers coming along Maggie. We have snowdrops too and the crocus are just beginning to show their colours.

Funnily enough we went to silver screen a few days ago and intend to use it more often. We pay £4.20 for ticket and a cup of tea of coffee and a biscuit and this week I won the raffle (a voucher for the cinema)! A x
