My Least Favourite.....

I think I can honestly say that November is my least favourite month.
However it started in a really strange way, being unusually warm and sunny.
There was a BBC News announcement yesterday, saying that Halloween was the warmest ever recorded. We were walking around in short sleeves and this was unheard of when I was young and probably in all the years that I can remember and that's quite a few.
I've recently had my daughter and the two grandsons staying for the best part of a week. It was really lovely to have them. The youngest one is now over 6ft tall and almost knocks his head when he goes through the kitchen archway.
Now they have left, it is quiet and Harry and I are getting into our routine again. He loves routine and I suppose it helps me to get everything done in some kind of order.
I organised the helper to come on Thursday even though I had visitors and I was really pleased that I was taken to Clevedon, a small seaside resort fairly near to Bristol but too far for me to normally go in the allotted time that the sitter is here, in my daughter's car. That was a lovely treat, especially as the weather was so pleasant. I noticed I was not as good at walking as I was when I last went there a couple of years ago. Cranky hip and knee pain and a numb foot slows me down considerably. Oh well, what can you expect at my age?
I thought I would just mention that I'm having a bit of a problem leaving comments on some blogs, so I'm sorry about that. It is mainly when people use Blogger+ and I've decided not to use it. I also find that some other types of blogs won't let me comment either. I wonder if there is some kind of button that some of you haven't pressed to let ordinary bloggers in?
One other of my blogging friends has also noticed this. Have any of you had problems?

Nice to hear you are in a good shape. Personally I do not like November too. So I am waiting for Christmas. Love from Upper Silesia

February is my least favorite month. By then I'm so ready for winter to be over.

Glad to hear that your Halloween was warm. Ours was record cold...
Interesting weather we have, isn't it? :)
Sending warm hugs to you and to Harry. Love you both....
Always,
Jackie

Glad you had a good time with your daughter and grandsons. I love having family over, but it's nice to have the house to ourselves afterwards, too--I think I'm becoming set in my ways about routine:) We had record cold here for Halloween--the grandkids didn't stay out long for trick or treating because it was just too miserable.

I haven't had any trouble leaving comments on other blogs that I know of, but I've read several other comments about this. If you can't leave a comment on mine--whenever you have time--let me know, would you? My email is listed on my profile page.

I went to leave a reply comment on my own blog the other day and noticed it had word verification on it, which I don't really like. I went into my settings in Blogger and there's no indication that it's switched on so I'm not quite sure what's going on there. They're always fiddling with something.

I've found that I have to jump through hoops to get onto some blogs these days. I feel bad. Some folks leave lovely comments at my place and I'd like to visit them, but...

It took several taps for me to get into Comments on your blog tonight. Usually that section pops right up but tonight it just shook a bit then sat still. July and August are my least favorite months. The heat and humidity are terrible here in Central Georgia, USA. November has blue-sky days with decent temperatures and is lovely here.

Hi Maggie
Sorry I have been incognito in BlogLand lately. It was warm earlier but I have heard we are in for a freezing spell soon.

Regarding the comments ~ I have been having problems too because nearly always blogger will not let me comment.
But I have found a way round it and it works every time. Here is the method:

1. Type the comment
2. Copy the comment by highlighting and pressing Ctr and C
3. Try to send the comment. It probably won't send.
4. Copy the comment back into the comment reply box by pressing Ctr and V
5. It will sometimes send but if it doesn't repeat step 4 and if it still doesn't repeat step 4 again until it does.
6. When the comment is sent clear the computer by copying a blank comment box Ctr and C to prevent someone else getting the comment when you do the same on their post.

Hope it works.
Love ~ Eddie

Needless to say I am copying this lot so if I can't send it I don't have to type it all out again.

Blooming Blogger ~ when will they get it right?

Sounds like a lovely outing despite the general discomfort. It's so nice when Hallowe'en is warm. We've had anywhere from t-shirt weather to winter coats. This year, there was snow.

Google+ is my Nemesis. I think some know how to allow regular Blogger account holders to post because there are many where I have no issues. But every now and then, their setup is such that they insist you switch to a Google+ profile if you want to post there. And I refuse to do that.

We also have had a glorious November. They say bad weather is on the way. I am not looking forward to that.

I have been away from blogging. I've been too busy to read and comment. A few times when I stole a minute or two to read a blog, I found that I could not post comments either. I'm glad to know I was not the only one.
