The Flower Shop On The Bridge

PhotoStory Friday
Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

All photos copy right of Maggie May.

By now, people will know that I do love the city of Bath in Somerset. I go there a lot.
I was drawn to Pulteney Bridge, last time I visited. Go here if you want more information.

At the back of the shops is a drop into the weir. Last Wednesday I used a photo of the weir for the Watery Wednesday meme. Here.

However, at the front there is a busy shopping community, all built on a bridge!
It was a flower shop that caught my eye.

Crossing the street I ventured closer and using my new camera, which is a digital Pentax P70, I zoomed in on the flowers. There were so many people about that I had to wait a long time for the shop to clear of pedestrians passing by.

Maybe I should zoom in a bit more. It is a lovely shop, don't you think?

It is beautiful. I live in a rural area, but the closest town is a tourist destination, and it also has a bridge with shops inside. The building is made of wood, though.

Ok, so I am a huge Jane Austen fan, as alot of others are too, and I have always wanted to go to Bath, I mean it must be wonderful, all of her character (ok not all but a lot) go there! Great pictures, and they aren't helping me with not wanting to go there! Those flowers are beautiful!

That is a good use of a bridge. I love the way you show us around. I like the flower shop, too.

It's gorgeous. I also love Bath. Do you have a photo editing program? I use that to play with the zoom after I have taken a photo by cropping incrementally to see what happens.

The flower shop is very neat, so colorful. The bride is very unique, would be a cool place to visit.

Beautiful photos, Maggie May! I love the medieval-looking bridge, though--nothing quite that old to see in the US.

You inspire me to want to go out and take many pictures myself. Now I just need to go out and do it. I'm always saying things like this.

The flowers are beautiful. You are making me home sick. If I can be home sick for some where that I have not lived for some time. I think that it is time that we planned a trip to Bath.

Hi Maggie
The photos are really super and your camera gives great definition. I wonder how many pixels. I have just bought a new camera and I am thrilled with it - a Panasonic DMC-F562 with 10 Mega Pixels.
Love this post of Bath ~ Eddie

A lovely bridge and a lovely shop.
I have been trying banana skin on my mosquito bites. It seems to offer a little respite.

Beautiful photos, per usual, Maggie. I got an eerie feeling of deja vu when viewing that shop. Hmmmmmm....

I love Bath, Maggie. I must go back especially to look at the Roman bits.

I once organised a hen party (of all things) in Bath. We hired a double decker bus for the girls. It was great fun. Must go back there soon!
