Spoilt For Choice

Photos are copyright of Maggie May.

I love to visit a garden centre and on this occasion I had only gone to buy something very small from the household section of the store.

However, I had my camera with me and took lots of snaps! I love to see lots of colourful pots lined up on a shelf but sometimes I am disappointed about how plants look in a brightly coloured pot! Maybe they are better off left on the shelf.

You can buy snap dragons by the potful!

Begonias by the tray load! Or if nothing grabs you, how about a hanging basket?
I managed to resist buying any extras this time!

Why don't I ever think to take my camera to a garden centre? I liked your pictures very much, Maggie. You're right about coloured pots, they do tend to detract from the lovely blooms.

I'm avoiding the Garden Centre at the moment, it's too tempting. And it will be Spring bulb buying season soon and I'll spend too much then anyway.

When I go to a Garden Center I always wish I remembered my camera. Good for you for taking these great, colorful shots. They just make me want to smile.

I love garden centres but I cannot resist buying something no matter how hard I try. :)

You need a will of iron not to buy a hanging basket while at the garden center. They are so attractive and alluring. The problem is, where to hang them. You do run out of space after a while. And you're always having to water them a lot. All that extra work!

I find it very hard to resist once inside a garden centre. I usually imagine my balcony or pots to be bigger (or smaller?) than they are and need to go back for adjustments...

I've never seent hose cone shaped hanging basket, though - those look neat!

Nice shots Maggie - I'm surprised you have room in your garden for more plants - you've shot quite a few photos showing standing room only ~ Eddie

David says he dare not let me loose in a garden centre... I get so carried away. I must admit I do, as I can't resist all the lovely colours, and end up with a trolley full. He keeps a tight rein on me these days. Ah well. Lovely snaps Maggie.

I agree, colourful plants look better in terracotta and green things in coloured pots. Lovely post, see what happens when your camera is attached to your hand.

Beautiful photos. I have a yellow begonia in a yellow pot, on a glass table in my otherwise green and gray screen porch. Looks good.

Gorgeous!

My hubby hates going to the garden centre with me. Must take 2 hours before we're out. Too many things to see and do. He's relegated me to just window boxes out the front, now he's loaded the back with vegetables!!

You take such beautiful pictures. Who would have known that the garden center was that pretty?

And I can't believe snap dragons are on $6.98??? I want some of those! LOL

And wow, I love those pots. Very nice.

I love the photo of the pot but you're quite right about how plants look in them.. they shouldn't compete.
