A Wasted Day

Photo Copyright: Maggie May

Since I took the photo of the poppies in the picture below, which couldn't be more than two weeks ago, there has been quite a turn in the weather and we've had much cooler, windier days with intermittent rain.
The result of this has been even more poppy flowers opening.

Some strange things have been going on with Blogger recently. Though I'm not even sure if it is Bloggers fault.
You see today I tried to put my password into the account and it just kept repeating the request. *Put in Password*. After attempting it for a good while, and being told to do the same thing over and over again, I gave up and thought it was a Blogger fault.
After a whole day of not being able to comment or post, I was getting a bit fed up.
It occurred to my son that I should try my laptop and see if there was a similar problem there. I didn't have very high hopes of the laptop being any different but was really surprised that I was allowed to get to blog after putting in the password. No trouble at all.
My son understands quite a lot about computers but couldn't seem to understand what the problem could be. He tried using Firefox instead of Safari and found that the blog is fine using that. However the laptop is running on Safari and working fine.
As soon as we try to run the main computer on Safari, I cannot get the password to work.
Has anyone any idea what the problem could be?
We've already tried clearing the cache.
I am the kind of person that likes an answer to things....... even if I might not understand it. So thinking caps on please.

You haven't pressed anything that has re-set your keyboard, have you? Like leaving caps locks on or accidentally activating one of the function keys? I'm sure you've already thought of this - I don't really have any computer boffin credentials!! But I can do sympathy!

This might be really useful Maggie .....

I have no idea !!!
It did happen to me a while back though but only if I tried to publish a comment then go to my blog. It wouldn't recognise me that way. After a while it just started behaving again. I think it's Blogger .

I'm sure it's Blogger. I've been having trouble commenting too and I know a few more people have had the same problem. :(

It seems that everybody and the world is having problems commenting. It's Blogger's fault. It's nothing you're doing wrong.

It's Blogger. It happened Thursday and Tuesday I think. I must have signed in about ten times, and whenever I went to leave a comment, it just kept asking me to sign in and then trying to post me as "anonymous". Very annoying. I gave up in the end and managed to have quite a productive few days not blogging!

I think it is just blogger, it happened to me too on my phone and I lost the comment I'd been working on for ages.

Hope you have a fantastic bank holiday weekend. :-)

I hope your weather improves and you have a wonderful weekend!

Very same thing is happening to me - all day yesterday and early this morning. Couldn't sign in at all. I also tried my laptop and a different browser - still didn't work. But now it's working

Maggie I am having problems with blogger. My comments are hit and miss and I tried to post but it disappeared and I have no idea where it went. Good Luck with this sweetie. Hope you and Harry are doing well. Sending many prayers and big hugs.....:-)

Wish I could help you, Maggie, but Sam knows much more about computers than I do. But I do think there's a problem with Blogger. For the past few days, I can't comment on some people's posts, those that have the little box for comments on the same page as the post itself. It keeps asking for my profile, but won't let me sign into my Google account. Pretty frustrating when you've left a long comment and then can't post it!

Definitely some weird things going on with Blogger. I tried to comment on several blogs yesterday but kept being asked for the password and then it was posting as "anonymous." Tried it on several browsers and same problem, so definitely issue with Blogger.

I have no idea dear friend! Not a clue! I have had strange problems with Blogger in the past and found that with time...the problems have disappeared just as suddenly as they began??? So....what is that about?

Firefox works so much better for me than Safari. I usually have both of them open but spend most of the time on Firefox.

I know Blogger has had hiccups lately and many times I could not leave comments so I just moved on to other things and tried later.

I find it really irksome when I labor over a comment and upon trying to actually post it, I get a message that Blogger was unable to fulfill my request -or some such poppycock like that. And of course, the comment has then gone to cyberspace, lost forever! And I move on to another blog and try again. If it happens again and again, I just keep reading and try to forget about commenting that day. On a more positive side though -loved the pics of the poppies!

I never have to enter a password. I have my blog dashboard as one of my saved "favourites" and when I want to write a new post I just get to the site using the "favourites". This seems to save me from logging in and it is much easier to leave comments too - it seems to save my password somehow.

couple things...if you are unable to comment and it keeps kicking you to the sign in screen log out and then log back in and it clears up...

as far as the sign in, it does the same on my mini pc, but not on my other laptop...i dont understand it...yet...

hope you are having a great weekend!

I wasn't able to sign out of Frank's account and into my own until I cleared the Blogger cookies. Then all worked fine. If clearing the cache didn't help, then cookies are next. Search for the Blogger cookies only though, or you will lose all your sign-in info for other sites as well.

Beautiful poppies. We're still waiting for ours to pop this year. Right now they're still fuzzy heads.
