When I was at the carnival, which I told you about in the last post, every now and then the procession ended up grid locked while the ones in front negotiated turnings, narrow roads and crowds of people and every one could have a rest and group together for instruction and information.
I noticed some very lovely and interesting faces and took the opportunity to snap a few of them.
It was lovely to see the many different cultures and traditions that seemed to derive from the crowds and the procession.
It is one occasion when everyone seemed to get on well and be able to share.
There was some problem in a different area of Bristol..... but not here.

I love that first photo Maggie.
Good to see all that colour brightening up our rather grey world.
You'd think after 3 years living here I'd have got myself organised enough to get to this carnival wouldn't you? I'm making a calender for next year so I don't miss it again
Your photos are wonderful, so vibrant and colourful that you have made me want to go even more now
I love people watching but I'm just not as good with a camera as I would like. You have really managed to capture the atmosphere of the event in your posts, thank you. x
I like these up close and more personal photos. It gives this carnival a face. It's good to see so many other colored people together and get along. We all should do a better job of that.
Sorry I missed your last post, only caught up. Sounds like a fun time Maggie and your pictures are lovely. I too love to see different cultures getting along and enjoying each others company.
Hope you and Harry are doing well, think of you often.....:-)Hugs
You got some great shots Maggie.
Oh how beautiful they all are! Love the faces and the many costumes and hats! Fabulous!

Love a carnival parade....beautiful faces and colors! Have a wonderful Saturday!
I too appreciate an international parade. Your photos are pretty and cheerful, like you.
Such great color in this festival!
What lovely faces!
Such lovely, colourful shots, Maggie. The getting along is as it should be. I'm glad you had a nice time.
Carnival really does provide a unique type of people watching. I also loved the first photo, but the others were also quite wonderful.
It's lovely to see all those people come together, from different backgrounds, different creeds etc. Lovely pictures.

As usual, you have captured the feel of the event and not just the sight. I LOVE your photos!!!
Sorry I'm so sporadic about checking in these days, but Summer is too short to spend it sitting here.
I am almost finished with the "Maggie's English Garden" painting...you'll be seeing it soon!
