I don't know what you think about Bibles, whether you cherish them or whether you are not interested in them at all. The fact is, whether you believe in them or you don't, you might be interested in the trivia below, that has nothing to do with faith really.
A friend sent me a card containing the following information that I thought was fascinating. I decided that I would pass it on.
What is the shortest chapter in the Bible?
Answer: Psalm 117
What is the longest chapter in the Bible?
Answer: Psalm 119
Which chapter is in the centre of the Bible?
Answer: Psalm 118
Fact: There are 594 chapters before Psalm 118
Fact: There are 594 chapters after Psalm 118
Add these numbers up and you get 1188
What is the centre verse in the Bible?
Answer: Psalm 118 verse 8 (1188)

Your collection is a Bible Library. If someone just look at it, it would create a religious desire in his/her mind. Thanks for sharing such things.

Hi Maggie,
Spooky info! I wonder if the Bible was planned that way?!
I'm a great fan of Nostradamus and he often wrote about things like this... the significance of numbers...
Very interesting! X
Oops... the word verification is "diatisms" I wonder if blogger is telling me I've put on weight?! haha
Spooky indeed! (Have you checked?)
I've seen this information before and marveled at how that worked out.
Cool! Wonder how that all worked out.
That's very interesting, Maggie, and it may surprise you, but I do have a bible that I have read front to back. I think it makes for fascinating reading.
That is interesting Maggie. I'm not a Bible reader but do have a couple. Will have to look at the psalms mentioned now. A x
I am a Christian and therefore have Bibles around the house. I find these facts you have pointed out fascinating. It can't be a coincidence can it? I think God's hand was on the writers of the Bible.
Bless you
Love Granny (*!*)
very interesting.
Amazing! I wonder who first decided to check this out and what prompted him/her to do so?
I can't wait to share this with my Granddaughter! Thanks so much...she can share it with her Sunday School class!
hugs

the word verification is
mentre...almost mentor!
Hi Maggie, as I don't believe in coincidence I would say this was meant to happen. I have a few bibles, some old, some new which belong to Amy. I used to have a wonderful children's bible when I was little and I loved it to bits. I still have it somewhere.
My Grandma gave me a beautiful white leather bound bible when I was confirmed aged 10.

Sounds as if it's more than a coincidence!
Useful facts if you can memorise them.
Bibles and most religious books were written and or translated by men.
I have a friend who is a Professor of Feminist theology, she opened my eyes as to the way women have been left out, erased etc from the bible.
She is also a C of E vicarette
Give a whole new perspective
Amazing, almost eerie! I'm wondering who took the time to figure this all out:)
Interesting but remember the numbering of chapters and verses is a late addition to the text.
Wow! Very interesting!
This is so neat. I need to write it down. I love my Bibles. The greatest book ever.
Yes, I've been told about these amazing facts as well. I didn't check, yet I don't feel I need to. God is amazing, and so is His words.
Thanks for sharing with us. God bless.
I saw that too and it is really interesting! I love my bibles too Maggie as you know...
Very interesting. I know which psalm I'll be looking up tonight!
