I am not saying that this photo is good, but a Passiflora Caerulea, (Passion Flower), is a good plant to have climbing up a trellis. The flowers only last a day, but they are prolific and eventually turn into an orange fruit. I don't think they are good for us to eat, though the slugs love them.

I'm not saying this is a really bad photo but it was rather dark in the doorway when I took these unusual sculptures on my way into the covered market and it was not something that I was expecting to see. A skeleton and a crocodile made of metal was too much for me to miss and I whisked out my camera.
I wish I had realized that it would turn out too dark at the time I took the photo as I am sure there would have been a night setting.
Both the crocodile and the skeleton have the reputation of being bad! In children's books anyway.
Now I admit to this being a really ugly photo. No doubt about it!
You might well ask what Maggie May was doing with her foot on a banana skin in the first place. Had she gone really nuts this time?
My daughter told me that a banana skin rubbed on a verruca several times a day, would get rid of it without needing to go to the chemist or the doctor. I am not sure what the result is really, as I only ever tried it the first time. The smell was not too appealing and the skin did go a bit mushy. The banana skin, that is!
I will focus on doing this regularly and let you know the result. In the mean time, the verruca hasn't got any worse, in fact it has shrunk a bit! Maybe it isn't a verruca, who knows!

Bazuka that Verooka! Horrible things, I had one as a child and to this day I can remember the pain of it and how hard it was to get rid of it. My dad finally nurn it out with the end of his cigarette! Brutal but effective.
Great interesting piccies! I use bananna skins to polish the leaves of my rubber plants thanks to Aggie and the big old bird that presents with her!

PS My Dr. said that all the verruca creams and potions are useless and the body will fight the verruca virus and expel it it's self over time! (I didn't ask about banana skins tho'!)

I've never heard of the banana remedy for verrucas but then I've never had a verruca! :)
You know that old saying -"learn something new every day?" Well, today after reading your blog, I had to google the word "Verruca" as I'd never heard that before and learned I know it as "Plantar's Wart!" How about them apples, huh?

I had to look up verruca! Planter's Warts, huh? I had some on the bottom of my foot when I was about 9 or 10, and the doctor had to eventually cut them out. The roots on those suckers are freaking LONG! I can remember it to this day.
I love the alligator and skeleton. Very nice picture. The darkness just makes it that much more ..scary???? They probably planned it that way to scare the kids! LOL

I've found tea tree oil to be the only cure for my son's verrucas.
Good luck with the bananas though. :0)
When I was on night duty [nurse] in the fifties, I had two verrucas on one foot and one on the other and there was NO treatment for them then, it was a case of suffer until they drop out, usually after a few months. Yikes, the pain!

I had a passion flower that passionately entangled itself around my trellis for about three years until it exhausted itself. I still miss it.
Like the idea of banana (peel) being a curative.
Passionflower - gorgeous.
Crocodile - scary.
Verruca treatment - better than the bowl of salt and vinegar my mum stuck my foot in every night! Let us know if it works.

It's always good to try natural remedies. Sometimes I reach too easily for the pill bottle.
