I have been on holiday for the last week with my daughter and grandsons. We stayed in a lovely lodge in Rousdon, East Devon and the weather was mostly kind to us.
The area we stayed in was very convenient to travel to both Devon and Dorset and the photo is of the little beach at Beer. I love that place very much and it was lovely to see it again. It reminded me of childhood visits years ago. it hasn't changed too much.
I was extremely fortunate to have a good friend and her little girls stay in our house to look after Ash, our rabbit and when we got home Ash and the house were in immaculate condition. (better than the state we left the house in, I am ashamed to say!)
I will get round to visiting all my favourite blogs again soon and will be posting out more photos of the holiday soon.

What a nice little beach. So glad you and your family had a nice holiday. How fortunate for you to have a friend and daughter to stay in your house while you were away. Do they do this regularly with other homes?
Beautiful place, serene and old fashioned too. Are the waters calm enough for short boat rides? Here the ocean is too choppy and dangerous for such things. The lake, however, allows much boating.
Glad you had a wonderful time. What a beautiful beach! Looking forward to seeing your pics

This is so beautiful. So serene. And BTW, I have given you an award given me that you can pass on if you wish.
Hope you're having a wonderful holiday. It looks like you are.

Glad you enjoyed your holiday, Maggie and nice to see your safe return.
I remember Beer very well when we used to visit it as kids with Mum and Dad. Brings back memories and yes, it has not changed at all. Hugs ~ Eddie
Hi Maggie nice to have you back

Now I can say I like Beer. Beautiful place.
what a lovely spot.
What a beautiful beach!! In your lovely photograph I see a 1000 more shots to be taken.
Welcome back my friend, so happy that you had such a great time with your family. It does look like a beautiful spot Maggie. Looking forward to seeing more pictures......:-) Hugs
Welcome back, Maggie. I'm glad you had a nice holiday with your family. The photograph is really beautiful and gives a good idea of where you were. I hope to see more soon. I'm sure you'll tell us all about your adventures. Can't wait to read about them.
Glad you enjoyed your holiday and how nice to have people to look after Ash and the house.
So glad that you had a nice holiday! Lovely beach! Welcome back to Blogland!
What a beautiful spot to visit, a pretty little beach under the cliffs there (despite stones rather than sand, lol). So pleased you've had this week away with your dear daughter and her boys - your grandsons will remember this, and as a happy holiday.
Rest assured it is still very much winter here - offical temp is 7C with wind chill taking it down to 1C just now, horizontal rain here and much snow down in the South Island (another 1 metre added to the base of snow is very good for the ski fields down there).
We are warm and cosy (Zeb very kindly warms up the bed for me), sending you both love and care plus huggles to share with wee Ash,
Michelle and Zebby Cat, xxx and purrrrumbles
That looks like a lovely place. Welcome back Maggie, glad to hear you had a good time.
What an idyllic beach! Heavenly.
Maggie, the photo looks amazing and it must have been so calm. Such a blessing to have that time.
Hope you're well,
Peter
Love the picture and glad you had a good time X
nice picture...sounds like a great holiday and how cool about your friends taking care of the bunny...welcome home...
Beautiful beach...glad you had some family time. Good for the heart and soul.
What a pretty little spot and how wonderful that you were able to get away. Nice, too, that Ash was well care for and that you returned to a spotless house. Send those folks to me, Maggie.
We were away at the same time! So glad you enjoyed your trip and that Ash was ok. It is wonderful to get away isn;t it? Your photo is very good.
I do miss visiting my virtual friends when I'm away!
Beer?
What beer? This post made me laugh!
Who was drinking beer? I don't see a bottle of beer anywhere!
It was only when I read Eddie's comment that I realized that this post is not about beverages!
Glad to see you back! Can't wait to catch a glimpse of Ash :-)
It's a lovely photo, and looks like a beautiful place, but I was a wee bit disappointed to find that you weren't writing about one of my favorite beverages :-)
I love that photo - very serene.
I thought from the title we were in for something very different!!!
Looks lovely, Maggie.
I'm so glad you're having a holiday, and health to enjoy it.
