I am pleased to say that my little garden is slowly recovering from the shock of the recent underpinning work under the kitchen, that left trampled plants and flowers and mud and cement everywhere as well as all the litter and things that builders leave around.
I spent a very pleasant afternoon tidying up rubbish and washing cement from surfaces. I expect I will ache all over tomorrow but it is worth it to get my little garden in some kind of semblance again. Do you like the pulmonaria? It is one of my favourites.
Can you see the wheelbarrow leaning against the back gate? I wish I knew what to do with it. I asked Harry this afternoon and he said, "Put it on top of the shed!" Now that would look good, wouldn't it? Unfortunately there is no room inside the shed. It was bought to do the underpinning and has become a much loved piece of equipment. Not by me!

What a gorgeous garden. Don't think the wheelbarrow looks bad leaning against the fence, probably better there than on-top, a brisk wind and Harry might wonder what hit him!!
I love all the pots you have in your garden, it looks lovely! :)
You can't leave a garden like that fend for itself. It needs tender loving care. I like all your pots down the middle and I'm sure everything looks great once it starts growing and blooming. The wheelbarrow doesn't show up too much. I can see you working in this garden, Maggie, giving it all of your attention. Good luck with it.
That's a whole lot of flowers you got growing there, girl! If that many were here, in my care, we'd be having to have a mass funeral for 'em all cause flowers tend to die in my house, under my black, not green at all, thumb.
I loved the blue ones at the bottom.
It looks gorgeous! I bet it feels better to have it tidied up now.
I haven't had a kitchen underpinned and my garden is nowhere NEAR as tidy!
As for the wheel barrow - why not plant flowers in it? And a trailing ivy or similar over it's edge?
Your garden is looking good already Maggie and with another couple of weeks spring growth you'll be back to normal.
I do like your pulmonaria too, pretty little flower. A x
That is a typical 'man' comment!! Why don't you fill it with earth and put plants in it? Trailing ones around the edge. By June it will look nothing like a wheel barrow. :)
PS Your garden is looking lovely, you must have worked very hard, but it has been a beautiful day.

That's just beautiful! You certainly have a green thumb. Why not just add a few easily-removable plants to the wheel barrow and use it as another flowering corner in your garden?
Looks ready for Spring.
Your garden looks wonderful Maggie!
I know what you mean by wanting to get it all back to normal and nice again... when we have work done in the house at least if the garden still looks nice it makes us feel better eh?!
I agree what other people said about the wheelbarrow.... put some trailing plants in it: trailing lobelia all around the edges with primroses or trailing fuschias or geraniums in the middle would look great! X
Maggie, I may dash from here to my garden. Just lovely over your way!
I think my garden starting to recover as well - we had rain this weekend!
Maggie May, I love all those blue pots...and, of course, the plants in them:) Yes, the pulmonaria looks so pretty--that's another plant I wish I had in my shade garden.
You might find you like that wheelbarrow--I actually asked for one for Christmas a few years ago and use it all the time around the garden. I think it looks fine propped up against the wall. Maybe you could put a tall plant in front of it:)
I can't wait to get into my garden, do the clearing, the tilling, the dreaming.
Just got out in the yard a couple of days ago to catch up on the winter clean up. Come on spring!
Put the wheelbarrow right in the garden and put potted flowers in it. :-)
