Two Dogs Meet

PhotoStory Friday
Hosted by Cecily and MamaGee

While on a day trip recently, I came across this dog made of pieces of metal, nuts and bolts that were skillfully put together to look as though they had been made of junk, I think.
Any way, I thought it would make a really good photo so I snapped it straight away.
Imagine my surprise when I transferred the photo onto the computer and I saw the real dog in the corner!
At the time I took this photo, I honestly didn't notice it at all. I guess it was moving quite quickly.
Do you think I could have been quick enough to capture this scene if it had been engineered? No way!

Photostory Friday is hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek. Why not join in this week?

A really cute picture of a very cool sculpture! And nope, I don't believe you could have ever engineered a shot like that with a real dog walking into the photo!

That sculpture is very well done. Glad you showed it on your blog. The real dog is an added bonus. What a surprise! More of these things ought to happen in life.

I love the "junk" dog - very clever. It's a great photo Maggie - you were lucky. Your story reminds me of a story I once heard of someone showing photos of a holiday trip to Arizona. Looking at one photo in particular, the person being shown said "gosh you were brave" and when the person in the photo looked, there was a snake coiled up a little way behind her. She had never noticed!! A x

I love it when things like that happen. We once spent the morning at the ocean playing on the sand and digging for clams. There were seven in my family that day and six in the family with us. When we got home, we put in the video our friends had taken and discovered there were seals in the ocean just behind us! How did we miss them playing? We were looking in the sand for the clams :).

I'd love to write a poem about your photograph? Would that be OK?

This is really to tell you that tomorrow I'm publishing your 'Mouse and Bella' story as a poem. If you're not happy with that I can remove it. But I've added your address and name.

Cool! Don't you just love spontaneous moments??

My sort of dog. No mess.

You wouldn't have captured such a delightful juxtaposition of dogs if you had been pursuing it doggedly.

A fabulous piece of work....! And more in conjunction with lampposts!

Great work, Maggie. It was obviously, ahem, a ``junkyard'' dog!

Nice, the metal dog looks like as it is aiming for real dog.

Now there is one creative cat behind that dog! Sorry I couldn't help myself! That is a really cool sculpture!

Maggie, this is excellent shot. It happened to me once to I was photographing cormorant, and I found a whole night heron family hovering on the bottom of the picture. Life is full of surprises! Anna :) Congrads on the POD.
