This lovely award was given to me by Ayak whose blog is named Turkish Delight. In order to accept this award, I have to say five things that I like doing and then pass on to five different people.
I am notoriously bad at doing these memes and I must admit that I don't always follow them through.
Today I am going to break my rule and get on with the list.
I like doing so many things that it is difficult to pick just five.
1. I love starting a new project. No matter what it is..... if I am in the mood to do it, then I just cannot wait to get started. However I do believe that finishing a project is probably more important. There is a saying that I was taught when I was a child...... *Great is the art of beginning but greater the art of finishing.*
2. I love receiving handwritten letters. Letter writing is a dying art now but I believe that a handwritten letter is much more satisfying than an email, text or possibly a telephone call because the letter can be held and reread over and over again.
3. Sometimes I get a burning desire to write something and I get no inner peace until I have managed to get an idea down on paper. Everything goes on hold when I go through a phase like this. I would also put down blogging and photography in the same category as writing.
4. I love the sound of seagulls when visiting the sea. In fact I love to be near the sea. Please note that this doesn't mean that I like being on the sea or in the sea as I cannot swim and hate the water. How complex is that?
5. I suppose the next answer will have to be *settling with a good book,* in relative peace and quiet. I do enjoy my family as well, but it is lovely to shut myself away sometimes with a good book and lose myself in it.
Well, that is it. Now I am supposed to pick out five people to do this meme and that is where I am going to opt out and tell people that if they would like to do this meme then please take the award and let me know......... choosing 5 other people. Don't forget to list the 5 things that you like doing!
After round 3 of chemo........ I noticed that I felt very tired but that I hadn't had such a bad amount of neuropathy (nerve pain in the limbs) this time nor did I get the chemo brain. My digestive tract feels as though it has been scoured out with a brillo pad though and the ends of my fingers and toes are quite numb.
I am also a bit unsettled by the uncertainty of my CT scan and the prospect of whether I will need an operation or not...... as well as not knowing whether I will be having Chemo 4 on the 23rd as planned.

Hello dear Maggie May, you seem to be plodding on pretty well with the chemo and I'm glad to see you still at the blogging and getting awards.
You are such a trooper. It's always good to see your posts.
Really sympathise with the neuropathy - I have it 24/7 around my knees but having been many times to a pain consultant I decided to just put up with it. Hope your uncertainties are ironed out soon - you are being very brave about it all.
Keep going.... keep going.
You seem to be doing very well, uncertainties or not.
Still thinking of you.
Take care.
Congratulations on your award. I can understand you being uncertain... but seriously you seem to be coping with the whole chemo thing with brave acceptance. I admire you so much.
I do understand about not dealing well with uncertainty, but I do believe in concentrating on the good things - like no chemo brain and less neuropathy!
And I can relate to #4, being the same way.
word verification is patiens -
have patience, my dear.
Congrats on the award and I enjoyed reading your responses to the meme.
Hope your uncertainty is resolved soon.
Reiki blessings to you. x
I'm with you on hand-written letters. It's a dying art. I have a friend in Antalya who, although she emails me regularly, occasionally writes me a long letter. I love them.
Hope you won't have this feeling of uncertainty for too much longer Maggie.
Lots of Love
Linda xx
Congrats on your award....sorry you are having to go through this I wish so much for you to be cured. Prayers and thoughts and many hugs coming your way.
uncertainties are the pits..... and hey, if you have to have an op, do you want me to come up and visit :)- can you just imagine LOL
(((Maggie)))) always in my thoughts..

I love the sea, too, Maggie, and I don't swim either. I think the sounds and sight of water are so relaxing--as long as you don't have to be in it:)
I'm glad to hear you're feeling somewhat better than after the last two rounds of chemo. It's understandable that you're worried about what comes next, but just try to take one day at a time. I'm hoping the worst is behind you.
Good morning! I'm not quite sure how I got to your blog but hello. I loved your bio... I feel the same way about my brain not quite matching my body. It sounds like you really make do with what you've got. Neuropathy is just such an awful pain. I am a new follower and I look forward to reading more about your rambling house and your journey to health.
Glad you are having less pain this time round Maggie. You are on my prayer list!
Congratulations on your award!
I am praying for you. You always sound so hopeful... I am hoping all good things will come of this.
I love that you like starting new projects! It is so much fun to look forward to things, isn't it?
As always, you are in my thoughts and prayers!
Maggie, you seem to be dealing with everything so well and I am so proud of you as I know how you are really feeling. Chemo is horrible and yet you are such a trouper. Push on sweetie, you will soon be finished this course of treatment.......:-) Hugs
Congrats on your award! I enjoyed reading your list and would have to say that I like all five of those things, too. I am still praying for you every day and hoping that you will have the answers to the uncertainty, soon. Love and hugs, Marguerite
Your 5 favorites are wonderful. I hope you get to do them while you are going through your treatments so they can boost your spirits.

Oh yes dear Maggie, learn the rules and then break some ;-)
I love handwritten letters!
I did graphology (I guess mainly for fun because I am fascinated by handwiting.
My father's handwriting is the best! ;-)
I can relate to #4. The sound of seagulls calms me...
Take care!
I like your list of 5 Maggie and have to agree with you on receiving handwritten letters. They rarely come these days but I send few. I dislike uncertainty as well, would much sooner face up to whatever, rather than wonder. Keep positive and cheerful though, you are doing so well. Hugs. A x
Ah, uncertainty and not beng able to plan, both things I deal with badly. I feel for you, the not knowing is really hard to cope with.
By the way, I love being by the sea too, but am not keen on being on it, and I can't swim, hate being in it too!
Like your list.
Hope the effects of your last treatment are wearing off now.
Sx
Drat! Oh, the uncertainty. But I am glad you are handling the chemo better. And I like the five things you like. Very cool.
It's always good to see your posts.
Work from home India
I had one yesterday, Maggie, a handwritten letter. I was soooooo excited, it was not in a brown envelope with the cellophane window, had no advertising on it nor a warning in red. Lovely. Keep being strong-you're doing fine-such and inspiration to us all.

The sound of seagulls is also one of my favorites. It is a sound of home for one who grew up near an ocean.
I am sure that most bloggers will identify with your list. Hand written letters are a delight to receive. The downside is finding the time to write them.
I dislike uncertainty but worrying about it will not change the outcome.
Look after yourself.
Thinking of you today ...
