Another littler corner of my garden!
Back at school this week and I feel so much better! I don't usually say this as I do love my holidays, but working with children certainly helps to take your mind off other things!
Some other colleagues have said the same thing.
In the playground during one lunch break, a small girl, aged five, came up to me and slipped her little hand in mine, looking very upset.
"That boy is trying to take away my most precious thing!" She said.
"Where is it now?" I asked.
The girl said, "I don't know!"
"What is the precious thing?" I asked, feeling I was not getting enough information.
"I don't know!" She replied.
"Has the boy taken it?" I asked.
"No." She replied.
"But he wants to take it?" I asked.
"Yes" she said.
"But you don't know what he wants to take?"
"No" She answered.
Well I know it is the start of a new term, and I was not really into school just yet, but I was feeling a bit perplexed! I noticed the girl was getting a bit bored with this conversation and her eyes were following friends around the playground as though she wanted to move on. The boy in question was also playing with a different group of friends and didn't look as though he was involved in a squabble or anything.
"Are you Ok now?" I asked.
"Yes," she said skipping away!
I am still none the wiser about that situation..... but if only our little dramas could be smoothed away in such an easy, swift manner!
Now I have to announce the award that I kindly received from Momma some time ago and I should have passed it on to others. Well I will do so now! You are all great!
I would like to pass it on to:-
UPDATE ON SON IN LAW. Out of hospital now, pain & sickness under control. Last body scan showed no sign of tumour else where in the body. Waiting to be admitted to a specialist hospital for a biopsy & possible brain surgery. Thanks to all who have been praying and thinking good wishes. Please continue!

Children say the sweetest things, even though half the time we don't know what they're on about.
Lots of prayers for your son-in-law.
Crystal xx
Oh Maggie 3 things to say and I don't know where to start!
Firstly Thank goodness there's no sign of another tumor and thoughts have been and remain with you all.
Secondly, That was a lovely story. Its great therapy they give without even knowing!
Thirdly thank you so much for my award.
Suburbia :)
ps. Can I believe you this time....about the garden picture?!
Thanks Crystal!
Surburbia........ YES! It IS my garden! Thanks for kind comment!
Thank God there's not another another tumour and let's hope he gets seen to quickly.
Sorry I've not been around much. Your award was a lovely surprise! Thanks Maggie!
Maggie I've done a really cruel thing on my blog! I've tagged SAM....come and see!
Great news about your son-in-law... I am keeping every crossed for him and you!

That was an interesting little exchange with the little girl! She obviously felt better for telling you about her little problem and we all know how helpful that can be. That's good news about son-in-law. Thanks for the award. It's much appreciated!
Don't you just love the way kiddies express themselves?
Sending lots of "get well in a hurry" wishes to your son-in-law and a plithora of supporting hugs to your daughter.
Maggie - thank you so much! Made my day.
Your conversation with the 5 year old sounds like my conversations in this house every day! lol
Glad things are moving on with son in law. Will keep praying for resolutions. with love
Aren't children the cutest? So true - I wish all dramas were so easily relieved.
Thanks also for the update on your son-in-law. Best wishes to him.
Thank you so much for my award. It's very intellectual and inscrutible isn't it? Or is that me just being stupid? Don't answer that one!
...and I am so delighted that your son-in-law is progressing. It must be so hard for your daughter not to take his behaviour personally. She has to believe that it is the illness making him behave badly.
What a cute little character! How nice!
Glad to hear of your son in law's progress, will keep up the prayers.
Hooray on the one hand - and wishing him luck on the other. They say brain surgery is fairly painless as there aren't any nerves in the brain. Hopefully that is true.
How old are the children you are teaching?
Jackie & Girl with a mask........ thanks for your thoughts & good wishes.
Meam mom........ Was a silly little tale but the girl seemed happy afterwards.
Jules, Crazy Cath & Carolyn ..........many thanks for kind comments.
Ann ........ the <3 is supposed to look like a heart on its side & means I love your blog!
MerryW......... Glad you like my little stone girl!
Aims ......... I'm not a teacher! I do lunch times & also work in a busy after school club & at one time was a teachers helper.( LSA). The children are 4 & 5 yr olds but I also work with older children. up to 12!
I love your garden ornaments. It's what I want to do when I have a decent garden!
Good news about your son in law. Hope the biopsy and surgery go well. Just look at what Martin Kent did after brain surgery; he went on to star in Eastenders. OK, so maybe that's not such a great example, forget I spoke ....
working mum ....... thanks for reminding me about Martin Kemp. I forgot he'd had brain tumours.
Glad you liked the garden ornament. I am a sucker for them.
Good news that there are no other tumours. Will continue to pray for you all.
What a lovely story! I know how she felt: sometimes I don't know what is missing or wrong, just something!
I also love ornaments in my garden. Every year I ask for a garden angel and every year she loses her head to a soccer ball. sigh
