The Lion King

There are always little nooks and crannies in any city and Bristol is no exception. Turn any corner and there is always something to snap. No end of watery things to choose from.
Well, we are an island surrounded by the stuff. I am quite pleased about that.
However look into the pool below and you will see something that makes my blood boil. Can you spot what it is?

It's a nice tribute to King George and a wonderful water feature. Too bad some people have no respect. I bet there was a trash can just out of sight.

My post is here: Carletta’s Captures.

Oh I can't stand litter. It drives me crazy...aaarrgggh. Why can't people just keep hold of it until they find a bin. Fume fume. Lovely photos though! Thanks x

Oh how great this lion water structure looks. I like to have a little fountain in my yard :) so I don't need to go out and snap posts for WW. :D

Good photo - awful litter! The lion reminds me exactly of The Lion King - I adored it!

Yes... I can understand, why the lion throws up... Fine and influential shot!

I like it. I wish we had things like that around here to liven the place up. I think it's pretty darn cool!

Hmmm, lots of rubbish, annoying isn't it?
I can't place where this is!

Too bad about the litter in the water. People are so thoughtless.

Great pics Maggie...I have to agree with you. Why people can't just find a trash can is beyond me.

Nessa said...

That's really cool.

The lion is looking pretty angry about it as well .. and I really don't blame him.

There is no excuse for throwing rubbish in the water like that ... there are always rubbish bins around in the city .. and if there is not one handy, then take your rubbish with you until you find one !

People can be pigs at times..

Those are great shots !

Great photos. I'm guessing it's litter. If it's a ten pound note I'd remove it myself!

It's too bad that some people consider water features as trash receptacles. When will people ever learn to be respectful?

VALKYRIEN said...

What a beautiful fountain! Lack of respect from people, seems to be the same all over the world, and that is a pity!

SandyCarlson said...

I think the litter must make your blood boil.

That's a lovely fountain deserving of respect.

I hate litter louts - sickening peasants. I once saw a guy dump the contents of his ash tray from his car onto the ground in a petrol station. As I was with my then very tall boyfriend, I gathered up the cigarret ends and dumped them back in his car window and onto his suit trousers telling him 'I believe these are yours', before I stepped back to have a look at his reaction. He was shocked, went to get out of the car, possibly to hit me, when my then big burly boyfriend stepped in front of me! Fantastic, the guy drove off in a hurry, wheels spinning and the smell of burning rubber!

Hello dear friend ~ I have very much missed visiting you. I need to catch up with all that you have been doing. The whole laziness of people and littering makes me furious. Actually have a post I am planning on writing about this exact thing. Great photos to go along with your words, as always! Take care.

Love the photos Maggie. Litter makes my blood boil too. Why folk can't put it in a bin or in their pocket until later I will never know! Grrrrrr.
