Don't you just love the luminous colour on this mallard's neck? I just happened to have my new camera with me and I tried out the special setting for pets! Quite pleased with this one.

It's gorgeous. It's tuesday, but it's gorgeous. xx
Your camera has special settings for pets? I need to get one of those. Lovely.
I LOVE this picture! It is just beautiful. I had pet Mallard ducks when I was growing up. Six of them. They always stayed right in my yard and followed me everywhere. Then my mom got mad and gave them away. The people said the ducks flew away and never went back.
I love both the little pond - and the mallard! They have such gorgeous colors!
Great shot!
I actually love that blue part that looks purple when the sun hits it. I could stare at a mallard all day :-)
Wow! Beautiful photo Maggie!
And I absolutely love the combination of colours together with the blue flowers...

The mallard's colors definitely set off the reflections in the water. Beautiful picture : )!

Beautiful indeed. You'd think he'd have been spooked off but I can see that the Mallard lingered on. ;)
Good work, Maggie. Great to see the house is rid of the varmints, too!
And proud you should be of that pic too cause you really did good with it! Love the teal color there and so regal looking that duck is too!
Nice photo with good color on both the bird and the pond.
Great shot Maggie, such a beautiful bird.

Hee hee! A special setting for pets? How funny.
Yes I have always been fascinated by that beautiful colour green and also the purple on his wing. I remember liking the colours very much as a child.
Lovely photo. Great to have a new camera. Was it a birthday present?
Those reflections are so clear!
Great shot of Mr. Mallard.
A very handsome chap. I agree with you about the beautiful colours. A x

You certainly have an eye for a good shot. The colours all meld together beautifully.

Lovely shot! I just love that shade of green.
I really like this shot. I think it's very pretty and the composition is perfect. There's something very nice about the lily pads, shadows and the addition of the flowers in the corner that are the perfect touch.
Very cute photo~
Their heads are almost iridescent--beautiful photo!

I think he's thinking: "I should really get in that water and start diving for fish ... but it's sooooo lovely and warm here ... another few minutes won't hurt".
That is astonishing color, Maggie.
very nice composition - and very intrigued by your camera's pet setting.
I'm not lucky with my new camera. One week after its purchase, it went "kaput". So I cannot take photos as beautifully justified by your gorgeous colourful Mallard.
