View From The Big Wheel

Photo copyright: Maggie May

When I went on the big wheel at Weston Super Mare last summer, there was a really good view of the pier where the pavilion had burnt down the previous year.
The sides have been extended to take a bigger building that has already started to be built, but this is how it looked last August.
I could see right across the Bristol Channel to Wales.

Watery Wednesday is hosted by 2sweetnsaxy.

Footnote: For those of you who are anxious to hear news of my biopsy..... I'm still waiting.

Looks a little misty in that shot, summer you say?
I hope you'll show us what it looks like when the building is completed.

Gosh, is it Wednesday already?
I'm immersed in music books, for an exam tomorrow!
Maggie, this shot is making me long for a long beach-walk. Even in misty weather like that, it would be lovely...maybe at the weekend.

Nice misty shot. It's a shame that it burnt down but cool that they're rebuilding. And very cool that you can see Wales from there. :)

Maggie...I don't know what type of building/building(s) was/were on that pier before...but that is one BIG pier. I clicked on it....and it mammoths the people. That is huge!
I continue to pray as we await the results of your test.
Much love,
Jackie

What a great record to have of the pier. You can take another every time you go up there!

Went to bed thinking of you last night. So sorry you are having such a long wait, it is stressful waiting.

I love when you catch misty shots on the water. The new pier is going to be amazing, can't wait to see it when it is finished.

Thinking of you, I hate waiting, but I'm praying the news is good.

MWM keeps mithering me to go on the Wheel in Manchester everytime we go there but I really don't like heights. :(

We had the second longest pier in England until it was damaged in a storm and then the remains burnt down during renovation...that was thirty or more years ago and the powers that be still cannot decide what to do with the bits that remain. Lovely picture, typical summers day huh?

Is the big wheel like the Eye in London? A great perspective--that is a huge pier! Still hoping that no news is good news for you.
