My Favourite

Photocopyright: Maggie May

I've been trying to hunt down some of the Gromits that have been scattered around Bristol. Altogether, there are 80 but one is in Paddington, London and some are in very remote places, beyond my reach.
So far, I have found about 25 and hope to visit some others within bus and walking distance, very soon.
I think the one in the picture, named Dog Rose, is my favourite.
Most of my relatives and friends are, or have been, on holiday over the past two weeks, so searching for Gromits has given me something to do.

I'm feeling a bit under the weather and plagued by what I hope, is Arthritis, and nothing else. I have to see my Consultant in early Sept, so in the mean time I keep going and hope for the best.
Harry, is not doing so well, either, now that his chemo is over and he is thinking of going on a drugs trial to help others who will be going through Prostate Cancer in the future. Its all you can do really, isn't it?

I do love this Dog Rose too. I love these projects.

So sorry you are not feeling well and that Harry is not doing well either. I pray you both find some comfort and relief from the illnesses that have long afflicted you. Yes, all we can do is keep going and have hope. Also, know that many love and support you.

How delightful to find Gromits round and about. I googled gromit statues and they are wonderful. There was one covered in little gold tiles still I agree with you that Dog Rose is a winner. Keeping you and Harry in my prayers

A couple of years ago one of my grandchildren was heavily into Wallace and Gromit. That's where these figures are from -- right? They look the same as the animated series. He and I spent some lovely times on the sofa, side by side, watching Wallace, Gromit, the sheep, and whatever else came up in the stories. The young grandson has since moved on to Batman, darn it!
Hope you and Harry feel better. Some days are bad, some days are better, and I wish better days for you.

We have painted black bears.

And oh, my, I'm continuing to hold you and Harry in my heart. Such a tough road you're walking, and I'm sorry.
